Humanitarian Lettering Project
The Challenge
In February 2022, Ukraine faced a devastating invasion by Russian forces, resulting in a humanitarian crisis and a need for international solidarity. Amid this turmoil, there was a pressing need for creative expressions of support that could unite people globally, raise awareness, and provide both emotional and financial backing to the Ukrainian cause.
As part of the international lettering community’s efforts, I participated in the "Lettering for Ukraine" challenge. This initiative aimed to honor Ukraine’s rich history and culture while symbolizing global solidarity. I contributed by lettering the Ukrainian alphabet and creating a tribute piece featuring the powerful slogan "Слава Україні" (Glory to Ukraine). This slogan, a symbol of Ukrainian patriotism, became a meaningful way to show support for the families and individuals affected by the crisis, as well as to highlight Ukraine’s resilience and beauty in the face of adversity.
